What I enjoy most is creating natural-looking makeup and finding what works specifically for you. I create makeup that still feels like you.
I’m Nikol, a freelance makeup artist based in Prague.
For a long time, I couldn’t figure out why makeup shades that should have suited me according to theory simply didn’t work for me. The more I studied colors and skin undertones, the more I realized that the usual warm, cool and neutral categories often aren’t enough. That led me to look more closely at how skin colors actually work. Eventually, I came across olive undertones and realized they explained what had never quite made sense to me. Once I started looking at skin and its coloring differently, I noticed that many of my clients have olive tones too.
Over time, I focused more on how to identify olive undertones, how to work with them and how to custom mix makeup to match them properly. Working with olive skin has since become one of the areas I specialize in.
I love discovering niche beauty brands and analyzing products. I’m interested in why a particular product works, how it works and what influences its final effect. I approach colors and skin undertones in much the same way.
My background in healthcare also sparked my interest in cosmetic science and skincare, which I bring into my work with clients.
I’ve been working professionally as a makeup artist since 2020. Over the years, I’ve had the opportunity to work on projects including Fighting Misinformation Online 2022: Ideas Exchange in collaboration with Google and YouTube, the TV Nova miniseries Expedice Ulice, and the film Cool Girl! as a makeup artist assistant.
